Piano Man

I am taking piano lessons and have been for the last 9 months or so. I can read music and I occasionally like to practice at home. Uncle Josh found us a great piano on craigslist. Perfect!

1st field trip of the 2011-12 school year

My class walked down to the fire station. We toured the whole station. We got to watch a fireman slide down the pole, all the kids took turns sitting inside the fire truck and shooting water out of the fire hose. It was a nice morning!

Labor day weekend pool party...

...at Cici and Poppy's house. We enjoyed a low country boil, swimming, beach time and relaxing. Super fun. We had a very busy holiday weekend filled with family, friends, and a little day trip to the zoo.

Labor Day 2011 Family Day at the Zoo

A great little day trip. We drove 2 hours to the zoo. I have not been there since my 1st birthday. We checked out all the animals and fed the giraffes. I wanted to know when we were going to the gift shop about 200 times in the 2 hours that we were at the zoo. We went to the gift shop after we saw everything and I got a stuffed sloth. I named him slothy and I love him. I want to tell you that I earned the trip to the zoo by completing my 1st 'helper chart'. I got 20 stickers for helping around the house with different jobs. I'm such a good boy, most of the time.

Cahal's Helper Chart

We are trying something new around here. It is a helper chart with chores on it. Some things that I help with are feeding Ruby, setting the table for dinner and practicing piano. If I complete a task then I get a sticker. 20 stickers=a trip to the zoo. I think it took me about a week to get all 20 stickers. We went to the zoo in Columbia on Labor day. It was great.

bike ride with my dad

We both love it. I can now ride around the block a couple times with out stopping. I like to wear my bike jersey just like my dad wears, and I make sure to put a water bottle in it too. My dad and I also have matching helmets!

End of Summer family picnic

We rode our bikes to the battery and had a picnic. It was my idea. We had sparkling water, fruit salad, fresh tomato's, mozzarella, ham and baguette. It was delish! We relaxed on our blanket and watched the tourists and squirrels. How wonderful to have family time. We are all best friends!
