MFS end of year celebration

End of school year ceremony

I am just posting about this now, and it happened at the end of May. When will I ever get caught u with this blog?! Too many pictures being taken! :) My school has a graduation ceremony for the 6 yr olds that are going on to the "big school" and for the 5 yr olds that will be in the kindergarten program in our classroom. I am neither of those, yet. All the other children (3 and 4 yr olds) and the graduates perform songs, a dance and a little skit for the parents etc. It was a lot of fun. This year I did so much better then last year. I had a great time. I'm not really down with dancing on a stage in front of a bunch of people, but was fine with the skit and singing and my piano recital. After the performance we go back to the school for a popsicle and watermelon party. We have video of it all too. I need to get my Dad to help me with that part. Happy Summer!

My 1st piano recital

I started taking piano lessons in January. I am still a bit young for lessons, but we thought we would try it out. I really love it and my piano teacher thinks that I am doing quite well. She decided that I would perform ant the end of school year class production this past May, with the other 2 boys that take piano with me. We all played a few songs together and then each had a solo. I actually played 2 solos and did awesome. We have the event next door from school at my Dad, Greg and Brandy's theatre, so I got to perform on a real stage. I have continued piano lessons throughout the summer. I asked my mom today about school...I think I am ready to go back. We start in early August, so not much longer to wait! Yippee!

My dad training

I am trying to get caught up with posting. This is from May. So much happening...
I hope you all are doing well. We are enjoying our summer. Very hot weather. Not much rain.

So, my dad had been training for an ironman for all of 2011. Swim. Bike. Run. A lot of it happening around here. Brandy and Sean took my parents out on their boat, in May, so my Dad could practice an open water swim and try out his wetsuit. I stayed at home with Miss Megan.

ALL the Jones family

All of my Cici's siblings were together with their parents, in May, for Colin and Dana's wedding. That doesn't happen very often. My mom took tons of pictures!

Colin and Dana's wedding in OH

Ohio wedding

We went to Ohio in May for Colin and Dana's wedding. It was a fun trip. My Mom, Cici and I flew up one day and my Dad flew up the next evening. Then we drove home with Courtney. I did really well traveling...thanks to the ipad. Our flight was delayed out of Charleston and we missed our connecting flight in Atlanta. We ended up flying in to Cleveland instead of Akron. It was a very long day, but I did awesome. My mom's good friend that she has known since grade school lives in Cleveland, so she spent the evening with Grace. I went to Nana's house with Cici. I was in the wedding, so we practiced on Friday. My job was to hold Laila's hand and make sure she gets down the aisle. We did it perfectly at the rehearsal. Laila did not want to cooperate on Saturday, so Raymond and I walked down without her. She was tired. My dad officiated the ceremony and everyone thought he did a wonderful job! My mom saw tons of her family and I met some family for the first time. My parents and I stayed at Aunt Stacey and Uncle Pat's house, which was very nice. I was able to get in bed fairly early and my parents could be downstairs hanging out with family. Much better then staying in a hotel. I looked so cute in a tuxedo and I wanted to wear all of the parts the whole night. All in all, a great weekend.
