Piano Man

I am taking piano lessons and have been for the last 9 months or so. I can read music and I occasionally like to practice at home. Uncle Josh found us a great piano on craigslist. Perfect!

1st field trip of the 2011-12 school year

My class walked down to the fire station. We toured the whole station. We got to watch a fireman slide down the pole, all the kids took turns sitting inside the fire truck and shooting water out of the fire hose. It was a nice morning!

Labor day weekend pool party...

...at Cici and Poppy's house. We enjoyed a low country boil, swimming, beach time and relaxing. Super fun. We had a very busy holiday weekend filled with family, friends, and a little day trip to the zoo.

Labor Day 2011 Family Day at the Zoo

A great little day trip. We drove 2 hours to the zoo. I have not been there since my 1st birthday. We checked out all the animals and fed the giraffes. I wanted to know when we were going to the gift shop about 200 times in the 2 hours that we were at the zoo. We went to the gift shop after we saw everything and I got a stuffed sloth. I named him slothy and I love him. I want to tell you that I earned the trip to the zoo by completing my 1st 'helper chart'. I got 20 stickers for helping around the house with different jobs. I'm such a good boy, most of the time.

Cahal's Helper Chart

We are trying something new around here. It is a helper chart with chores on it. Some things that I help with are feeding Ruby, setting the table for dinner and practicing piano. If I complete a task then I get a sticker. 20 stickers=a trip to the zoo. I think it took me about a week to get all 20 stickers. We went to the zoo in Columbia on Labor day. It was great.

bike ride with my dad

We both love it. I can now ride around the block a couple times with out stopping. I like to wear my bike jersey just like my dad wears, and I make sure to put a water bottle in it too. My dad and I also have matching helmets!

End of Summer family picnic

We rode our bikes to the battery and had a picnic. It was my idea. We had sparkling water, fruit salad, fresh tomato's, mozzarella, ham and baguette. It was delish! We relaxed on our blanket and watched the tourists and squirrels. How wonderful to have family time. We are all best friends!

My Courtney moved to Ohio to be with her boyfriend, Bobby. We miss her sooo much. We had a family going away party for her at our house the night before she left Charleston. It was great to see everyone. I got to hang with all my girl cousins, which was great, because I haven't seen them in quite some time. Fun!

STRIKE! Bowling

I went bowling with my friend Finn this summer. It was my 1st time bowling. We played 2 games and had a great time. I love slipping around in the shoes. Our lanes had bumpers on the sides so we couldn't get gutter balls and they even had this piece of equipment that was like a ramp. You just put your ball at the top and pushed it a bit and it rolled right down and towards the pins. i liked using that because it was hard for me to throw/roll the ball. I want my dad to go with us sometime...I'm sure we will go again this winter.

Random Summer Fun July 2011

So, one day my mom made chocolate milk for me. I thought this was AMAZING. I have only had choc milk maybe 3 times in my life and I could not believe that my mom knew how to make it. SO funny! We have not had it since and I have not asked for it again (probably wouldn't get it even if I did), but it was a special little summer treat for me.

I made this flower with my hand prints in yoga camp. I did a 2nd session of yoga camp in July and had an even better time then the 1st go around. My yoga camp teacher now teaches at my school once a week. Lucky us!

Here are a couple pics of me having a great time at Cici and Poppy's house with the sprinkler. Sprinkler, hose, pool and beach is always entertaining and we spent a lot of time out at Seabrook this summer. We need to get a few more trips in before the weather turns cooler. I bet we will have another couple weeks!
