Random day with Brett

Brett and I went to the Children's museum a couple weeks ago. We checked everything out and had a great time together. After the museum we enjoyed lunch at Juanita Greenberg's and a chocolate cupcake from Cupcake. What a great day!

Happy 40th Birthday to my Dad!

Well, the time has come. My Dad turned 40 on January 5th. We had a great day together. We went out to lunch at one of our favorite Mexican restaurant, my dad went on a long bike ride (which is his favorite thing to do) and then my mom and dad went out to dinner by themselves. We took cupcakes to Taco Boy and Josh, Amy, Chloe and Piper met us there. It was fun! Can you believe that they left me at home for dinner time? They had a great, relaxing at their favorite restaurant FIG. All in all, a very enjoyable day for everyone. I painted him a HUGE picture/card while he was on his ride. He LOVED it. Happy day to you, Dad! I love you! XOXOXO CMF

School days!

I now am going to school 5 days a week. I have completed 2 weeks, so far. The 1st week was a bit rough, but now I love it. It is so great. My teachers said that I am doing really well and learning all of the rules very quickly. It is Montessori school, so there are a few different rules from what I am used to. My mama or dad have taken me and picked me up everyday so far and I LOVE that. My dad starts his new job on Tuesday, so it will be my mama and I from here on out. I get so daddy crazy when I have lots of time with him...The past 3 weeks have been fantastic! He has had most of the time free, so the 3 of us have had tons of great family time together. It was MUCH needed by all! Here are a few pictures of me walking to school and out in front of my school. The weather has finally changed for the better. We have had 2+ weeks of cold and gloomy and rain. Today it is in the mid 60's ans sunny. I have been waiting for a bit of warmer weather. I don't like the cold weather, AT ALL. I didn't want to go outside at school for the first week and a half. I finally went out to play with the other children, once it warmed up a little bit, on Thursday and Friday. I will keep you posted on all of the fun I have...

I just wanted to post a few pictures before I forget. Here is one of me on my Indian motorcycle. I like to ride it around in the house. I love to go out on the porch and read or just hang out...here are a few of just that. Reading and talking to my dad. He is my "favorite/best dad."

On a side note...I just finished my 1st week of school. I started school this past Monday. I am going to a Montessori school that is a few blocks from our house. I'm not so sure if I like school. I go Monday-Friday from 8:45-11:45. It has been VERY cold in Charleston this past week, so we have really had to bundle up on the way to there. We go by bike or foot. My teachers seem very nice, but I think I would rather stay home. Some of the kids are nice...there are 21 of us between the ages of 2.5 and 5.5. I am still learning names. I was SO excited this morning, when I figured out what Saturday meant, and learned that I didn't have school. My parents keep telling me that it is great and that I will soon love it. My teacher did tell my mama that I had a great 1st week and that everything was fine. I guess that is good. We will post some school pictures very soon. I hope it warms up here. I don't like the cold very much. I did have my 1st hot chocolate, of my very own, from Starbucks this afternoon. I was yummy! It kept me toasty on our long walk down King street today. Stay warm, y'all! XOXO Cahal

Holiday Festival of Lights 2009

Holiday Festival of Lights 2009

Every year we LOVE to check out the holiday festival of lights at the James Island county park. It gets bigger and better every year. We stop off for a visit with Santa (or maybe not this year), roasting marshmallows, a train ride and a cruise around the park and admire all of the awesome lights. We went twice this year...it was great! More pics below too! CMF
P.S. I started school today. Yep, 1st day of Montessori school. I will go everyday, half days. I will let you know how the 1st week goes and post some pics.
