Two!
That's the magic number in my house. Today is my birthday and it is official: I am a big boy! No more couting my age in months! I am two years old. Ha ha, I love it. To celebrate I had some photos taken so everyone would know what a two-year-old looks like. I can't guarantee if you meet another one, that it will look exactly like me, but you get the picture.
Hope everyone is doing well. I will post a few pictures from a party Mom and Dad had with a few of the other family members. I will put in a little story, too. Check back soon.
Bye.

Bugs and Bubbles
Talk about two ends of the spectrum. The last couple of days have been a doozy. I must have picked up a stomach bug somewhere recently and it hit me hard on Thursday night/Friday morning. I was pretty miserable throughout the night with what felt like a demon in my tummy and then, around 3:30 or 4:00 in the morning, the demon came out.
I called my Momma to come get me and help, but I didn't warn her that I had filled the crib with a variety of already-been-chewed, reddish passion fruit. She totally freaked out. That pattern repeated itself every twenty minutes for the next four hours until I passed out on Dadda.
After that I took a nap and have been pretty miserable since then, except for when I get to take a bath. Bubbles are fun. The big bath really gets 'em going. I almost disappeared under all of them. It was like snow, I think. Maybe a cloud. I don't know. It was cool. I will let you guys know when I feel better.
Bye.

More Halloween and Living Cahal-style
Halloween sure was a lot of fun. To be honest, though, I was sad to see that the skeleton had to go back in a box. And the pumpkins. I still like to wear costumes, though. I found some other pics from Halloween to let you know what my parents look like, except that my momma doesn't really have pink hair or eyes. Dadda's hat is fun and I like to wear it a lot around the house. He has lots of hats and I like to try them all on.
His arms aren't always like that, but only sometimes when he rides his bike in the cold. Dadda's bike shirts are fun to pull out of their drawer and put all over the house, too. Speaking of bikes, the girls next door (who I went trick-or-treating with) gave me a bike that is too small for them. I like to put on my helmet, buckle it up and climb on it. After that I try to "go" but nothing happens. I might still be too small.
Do you want to know how small I am. I can fit in my cabinet and hide there and then I pop out and say "Hello!" when Momma comes by. She screams and laughs and I laugh really loud. We have a lot of fun together.
Bye.

Good Morning! A few recent photos. Ruby and I have matching costumes- take a look! We like to wear them around the house. This is my costume from last year, but it still kinda fits. I am doing really well, and trying to learn how to say trick-or-treat. I will let you all know how everything goes tommorow evening.

Fall for Me!
Well, there is a new season upon me and things are very different. First of all, the rain is very cold now. I never minded water falling on my head before, but when my cousin Chloe and I went to the Georgetown Wooden Boat Show, we had to get all bundled up. Still it was fun to jump in the puddles and look at all of the cool boats.
Another thing that is weird is my hair is not as curly as it was when it was hot outside. We spend a little more time inside and that gives me a lot of time to hear my voice bouncing off the walls. Some of my new favorite things to say are: "Hi, guys!" "CHEERS!" "No Way" "Gee Whiz" and "Bubbles." Check out the pics.
I am trying to get better from a sinus infection right now. So are Mama and Da-da. I am going to be a chicken for Halloween.
Bye.

School Daze and the girls next door ...
Hello, everybody. As we get deeper into fall, my experiences in school are getting richer and more interesting, so much so that I thought I would share with you all what has been going on. First, I should point out that school, in my opinion, is not limited to the four walls of the schoolhouse nor is it limited to the teachings of the school marm employed therein. No, to me school is all around us and is taught by all we encounter.
Having now defined the terms to my own satisfaction, I will proceed to enlighten you on my experiences of late in no particular order. First, I like to jump and flop onto my back. When performing this move, I count out a warning to my parents (one, two, two) and then thrust upward into the air and land on my back. It is fun to do this on the bed, not so much when I am on the floor, as I found out on my own. I have video of this and will try to post it for you. I will also take this new flop skill out into the world and into the safe environs of jump castles big and small, public and private. I didn't always like this activity. (see Christmas 2007).
Another thing I like already is Halloween. i like to see pumpkins, skeletons and spiders and look forward to dressing up as a chicken this year. I have been practicing my clucking around the house. I also look forward to my dad dressing up like a gorilla, because I saw the Gorilla hat and gloves in the store and it was hilarious when he put it on.
I also quite like the girls next door. They are very nice and play with me a lot even though they are several years older than me. The younger one likes to chase me around threatening that the tickle monster will catch me. Sometimes the "monster" does catch me (but don't tell her that I like it). We play a lot and I showed them how I paint outside. We also play trucks and golf together and go on wagon rides around the circle. They are cool.
I have started rating people as "cool" or "not" also by the way. Dad asks me what I think of people after I meet them and give him my rating. Most everyone falls into the "cool" category, so odds are, if you are reading this, you do to, but to protect your ego, I will not publish the list.
One of the other things I like is hats. They are a lot of fun to wear. Speaking of wearing things, I like to pick out my own clothes and do a pretty good job of it, if I do say so myself. As far as real school goes it is a lot of fun and I know the names of all the kids there and the teachers. They are all cool and good friends. You should come to school with me one day. If you use my definition above, you probably do. If that's the case, I can't wait to see you at recess. I'll introduce you to the girls next door.
Okay. Bye.

BIG boy!
I have been really growing into a big boy lately. I started combing my hair and I think it really makes me look sharp. I just do that for fun sometimes because I like my hair best when it is crazy and wild--just like me!
As you can see from the pictures, I have also started picking out my own clothes. All I have to do when I want to wear my chicken suit is go to the closet and start clucking and Mom or Dad gets it down for me and I get to wear it as long as I want. I never get to wear it outside, though. Mom and Dad say that I have to wait until Halloween or something.
I call my dog, Ruby, by shouting her name and clapping. I have also tried this with Mama with less than stellar results. My Poppy got out of the hospital from his back surgery and now he has hair all over his face. He stopped by yesterday for a visit and it was weird. I didn't want to touch it.
Mama and Dad also put up my easel Uncle Josh got me. I love to draw and color whenever I can. I draw pictures of Mama all the time. I also love to look at pictures of motorcycles (pronounced ong-gong).
Also in the big boy department I like to feed myself whenever I can. Some foods are easier than others, like french fries (pronounced fruh-frise) Recently I mastered yogurt as you can see in the pics.
When I am not doing all of those things, I like to make pillow forts, play in my boat outside, go to the pool or on bike rides with dad and walks with mama. At the end of the day (and sometimes in the middle) I enjoy a good sleep. Mama says she likes those times a lot, too.
OK. BYE (pronounced die, unfortunately)

End of Summer
Hey y'all!
I hope this finds everyone doing well. I am doing great. 20 months old now. I am weighing in at almost 25 lbs. and am very tall. My hair is getting long, but my parents won't cut it. I wonder how old I will be when I get my 1st haircut? I think it will be awhile.
I jumped out of my crib again...I met my mom at the top of the steps with a bloody face. Just a split lip--no worries. I am trying to talk a lot more; "pool, juice, dye(for bye), hi!, moon, tree, shoe, shirt, key and the list goes on... My dad just started back to school and I miss him. When he gets ready in the morning I like to put on a pair of his socks or shoes and run around the house.
He and my Pop-pop built me a boat to play in and it is in the backyard. I put my pony "Rody" on my boat. It was so much fun someone should write a song about that! I just learned about these things called Juice boxes. They are awesome. I have a drink holder in my boat that was just made for those things.
My Dad also put up new ceiling fans. He used a "ladder" and "tools". I remind him and Mom of those items whenever I see those fans (pronounce them yadder and toos).
I had my first sleepover at my CiCi and Poppy's house. Poppy is getting his back fixed again at the hospital and I have a bit of a cold so I can't go to see him yet, but I will see him when he gets home in a few days.
I am going to go look for trucks now. We have a lot of cool trucks in the neighborhood. Garbage, recycling and yesterday I even saw a street sweeper.
Okay. Bye.
