New Stats

I went to the doctor for my 1 year check-up (on Friday) and all is well. Here are the stats...I weigh 20lbs 8 ozs which is in the 17% and I am 31 1/2 in long which is the 90%. So, I am kinda like a string bean! oh yeah, my head is in the 50%, which it has been since I was born. I can start to drink whole milk now. That is really exciting for my mom. I can eat just about anything now and I love to try new foods. My dad likes to give me new foods to try. I had a bite of quiche and croissant this morning at the bakery with him. It was delicious! Countdown to ONE!

Man oh man am I getting big. I am almost one. I have been trying to learn to put one finger up when someone asks "How old?," but keep getting confused with what I do when asked "How big . . .?" Oh, well. I have really beeen noticing a lot of things in the world lately, too. Sometimes I make noises kind of like what those things are called.

It seems like everybody in town knows that my birthday is coming up and are making a really big deal about it. They have lights all over their houses and everyone seem to be in a really good mood and buying presents and stuff. The county park had a whole light display set up and Momma and Dad and Ruby and I drove around and got out and looked at everything.

I have decided to try on my "birthday suit" and it fits perfectly. I run around the house in it all the time. The only problem is that sometimes the floor makes puddles right under me. Weird.

I went to Atlanta for Thanksgiving and had a great time. I saw a lot of family and I played with all my older 2nd cousins. Fun! When we came home my parents took me to meet a new man...I really loved this guy. He wears a warm red suit and has white hair everywhere. I couldn't stop looking at him!

If I ever see him again, I will try to talk to him and maybe take some more pictures. I think his name is Santa. If you see him, will you tell him I am looking for him and I am a very good boy?

Happy Belated Halloween!

It has been awhile...
Everything here is great. I did start walking on my 10 month birthday and I am getting better and faster each day. I still lake to crawl too. We went up to NC (Lake Lure/Asheville) a couple weeks ago. My dad had his fall break. We had a great time relaxing and doing a bit of sightseeing. My mom and dad took me to the park the other day and I loved going through the tunnel and swinging. I have started to lift my leg up on everything trying to climb on top of or in anything. I figured out how to get inside of the kitchen island and in a kitchen drawer. I am really enjoying reading lately and I know which way is the right side up for my books. I will turn them around if they are not the right way! I love to have stories read to me and I love to read to myself(out loud). I had a great Halloween. I was a shark and a skeleton. We walked to a few houses and looked at all of the pumpkins and decorations, but mostly I just helped pass out candy. I also got to try a lollipop for the first time. I held on to that stick with both hands and my mom had to pry it out of my hands after a couple licks. I did not like her doing that very much. Talk to everyone soon! xo Cahal McKee

Ten Months . . . New Media . . . Check It!!!

I am ten months old. I just had a visit from my friend Lillie Sofia (check out her site via the links on the right) and had a walk around the neighborhood with her parents and Momma & Dad. I know it is not a huge b-day to celebrate, but I had a lot of fun on my ten-monther. I walked around the house A-LOT! I have been practicing for about a week and a half, but today I just let loose and let the chips (and me) fall were they may. Some of the other stunts I pulled were sticking my finger up Ruby's nose and pulling her head to the side and also grabbing her tail and pulling as hard as I could. Earlier in the week I got my first (of many I am sure) bloody lip. I was chasing Ruby and my hands couldn't keep up with my legs and, well, gravity took over and my face broke the fall. I'm ok, though. I am trying out a new medium as I introduce video to the site. Hopefully this will work because this weekend coming up I am heading up to the "mountains" (if anyone knows what the heck those are, please let me know) and we are supposed to be having a bunch of adventures. Hola amigos!

My mom took me to have my picture taken again. I really have fun doing that! Here are a few pictures (9 1/2 months old). I am doing great. I love standing up by myself now and I am trying to take a couple steps...I can walk while holding on to a hand or furniture. I can take about 4 steps with out holding on to anything but then I fall down. I think I will master this walking thing soon...I will let you know when it happens. I went to my 1st birthday party yesterday-my cousin Chloe turned 1. It was a lot of fun. I got a present for going and I tried a cupcake. I hope everyone is doing well. Miss you! XOXO

Here I come...

Hello everyone!
I wanted to write and let you all know that I had my 9 month check-up and It was fine. I am pretty tall for my age-in the 75 percentile, but a little skinny-20 percentile for my weight. And, my head size is average-50 percentile. So, my mom has been trying to fatten me up with a bit of formula since my appointment last Friday. I like the formula! I also eat so many foods now. I actually had a bit of turkey hot dog for the first time tonight. I thought that was delicious! I have figured out that we have stairs in this house of mine...they are all wood and big. I can crawl all the way to the top! My bedroom is up there-it is so much fun to climb the stairs to my room. I also learned to walk around the furniture or along a wall and I can now walk behind my wooden cart that I have. I load it up with my baby and my kitty and away we go...I hope everyone is doing well. Happy fall! Enjoy! CMF

Cousin Fun!

Hi!
I have had a ton of fun with my cousins Brett and Chloe over the last couple of weeks. I got a new cart and Chloe and I had a great time playing with it. Maybe it will help me learn to walk sooner! I also learned how to give my dad his "bottle". He loved that new trick! :) Brett and I had a great time playing with all the "bottles" and ice water over at Courtney's house. I also found where the pots and pans have been hidden all of this time...what fun that is!! I have 5 teeth now and the 6th is coming...I have been a better sleeper at night and my mom and dad really appreciate that. I will be 9 months old on Friday and I go to the doctor next week for my checkup. I will let you all know what I weigh and how tall I am when we find out.
